Reichstagsgebäude – “Building of the State Assembly”) – a historical building in Berlin, where in 1894-1933 the same state body of Germany was met – the Reichstag of the German Empire and the Reichstag of the Weimar Republic.
In the last days of the war, during the Berlin offensive surgery around the Reichstag, declared the main symbol of Nazi Germany, fierce battles were carried out.
On April 30 and night on May 1, 1945, several scarlet panels, later destroyed during the battles, were put up in different places. The fourth cloth, set early in the morning of May 1, went down in history as a banner of victory. On the walls of the Reichstag, Soviet soldiers drew many inscriptions, some of which were left during the restoration of the building.
