The artist is Romanchev
Leningrad painter Alexander Romanchev considered this portrait as a monument to his parents – Dmitry Isaevich (1895–1974) and Anastasia Dmitrievna (1896–1974), who lived during the revolution in the village of Great Gorenks of the Simbirsk province. The portrait is stylized for a provincial wedding photo of 1918, when the artist’s father, who served as a sailor on the Diana steamboat, came to a visit to his native village. (A. A.).
