The artist – layers
Every summer, Arkady Plastov invariably spent in his native village of Radlonikha, Ulyanovsk region. Here he built a workshop and wrote people whom he knew from childhood, familiar and beloved landscapes. Each plot is a memory of experienced. Each picture concentrates the impressions of not one day, but a whole layer of life – hence the names of many: "Spring", "Noon", "Youth", "In summer".
