“Lenin is a great and complex personality. He is very simple, human, can easily find a common language with an ordinary peasant, a village boy, and at the same time he is brilliant, he can not only foresee the course of events, but also direct the movement of history ”. So described his understanding of the image of Lenin Tsyplakov, in whose work Leniniana occupied the main place.
In the hypothetical episode of visiting Lenin of an nameless village, the artist embodies this universal essence of the leader with traditional picturesque means. The calm black figure of Lenin is clearly standing out among the bright colors of a clear March day and the variegation of peasant clothes. The emotional impulses of the villagers who abandoned everyday affairs are fixed to her to see a simple and great man. Working on the landscape, on the charmingly simple -minded images of the peasants, Tsyplakov recalled his native Ryazan village. (L. Sh.)
